Interpreting Data through Multisensory Modalities for Deeper Awareness & Inclusion
This article offers a deeper look into Seeing Bird Songs, my ongoing research exploring how bird vocalizations can be translated into visual, tactile, and multisensory experiences. By reimagining how we interpret auditory data, the project aims to foster broader awareness, accessibility, and connection with the natural world.
The piece was published in Nightingale Issue 5: Nature, the print magazine of the Data Visualization Society. The article explores how data can move beyond charts and graphs—into form, texture, and rhythm—to reach new audiences and expand how we engage with ecological systems.
