Renee Walker is an Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, where she teaches typography, information design, and life-centered design systems in the Undergraduate Visual Communication Design Program. She has received international recognition for her work in information and visual communication design.

Project Data Sense represents the scholarly inquiry undertaken by Renée Walker. This research explores applying computational principles and algorithmic design to craft multi-sensory visualizations with data.
This work attempts to make data more understandable and emotionally engaging, leveraging insights from perceptual psychology. The outcomes of this research take on diverse forms that could encompass interfaces, textiles, patterns, interactive games, prints, and more.
